Non-Rotating Cementing Plugs-Top Plug

A cementing plug is used to separate the cement slurry from other fluids, reducing contamination and maintaining predictable slurry performance. Typically, two types of cementing plugs are used on a cementing operation.

CSS supplies regularly Non-Rotating and oil resistant cementing plugs that assures significant time savings while using PDC bits to drill out the shoe joint. Recent design of Non-Rotating cementing plugs includes plugs that have locking teeth on both the top and bottom plug as well as Super Seal float collars that allow plugs and casing equipment to lock together during drill-out. Non-Rotating cementing plugs are also equipped with high strength drillable plug inserts designed to withstand casing test pressures after the job is completed.

Cementing plugs from Continental Supply Services are constructed by the selective materials resulting reduce the drill out time, and there-by cost savings. Our Cementing plug sizes are available in 4-1/2”, 5”, 5-1/2”, 7”,7-5/8”, 9-5/8”, 10-3/4”, 13-3/8”.
